We program intelligent software & smart web applications in Zurich. Programs developed by us work on all devices and can be used directly in the browser without installation or permanently installed on the device.
Self-learning, intelligent algorithms (AI) are able to solve even the most complex tasks. To do so, we use cutting-edge technology like Keras and Tensorflow.
Intelligent software works with you and guides you through your business processes. This makes them much faster, there are fewer errors and everything is digital.
Together we will find the right digital solution for your company. We offer consulting on digitization, individual software, AI, machine learning and web applications.
No matter what device, your enterprise software should be accessible and conveniently usable around the clock and on all devices (Windows, Mac, iOS or Android).
PolygonSoftware was founded by top students of the University of Zurich. Our strong team of students and alumni is familiar with the latest and most modern technologies, as each of us researches at the university itself on new algorithms that shape modern computer science. Our core competencies are:
We at PolygonSoftware are a strong and young team of students and graduates of computer science. We work with the latest technologies and techniques, which are used in research and development at the Tech Universities. This enables us to develop software that was unthinkable a few years ago.
Web technologies is one of the fastest developing areas of computer science. Modern browsers can do almost everything that was previously only possible with desktop software. Did you know, for example, that MS Teams was completely implemented with web technology? Even if you download and install MS Teams, the application runs in a virtual web browser. Since recently it is even possible to execute C++ code in the browser - so even complex 3D games can be played in the browser. We at Polygon strongly rely on this technology, because it allows us to write powerful software that can be used by everyone without installation, works on all platforms and devices and - if desired - can also be made available as a downloadable Windows, Mac, Linux, Android or iOS application!
Our employees are actively researching at the university in areas like machine learning, artificial intelligence or computer vision. We can use these skills to optimize your business. For example, we have developed an application that uses photos of labels to automatically read and recognize all information and make automated decisions - even if the package is skewed, crumpled or even partially covered!
These two technologies combined offer incredible possibilities: We develop smart software that thinks and learns based on the latest algorithms and can be used on all devices with a nice user interface!
Our focus lies in the targeted fulfillment of your needs with the help of custom software solutions. The young, dynamic team understands your wishes in no time at all. We help you to optimize information interfaces, make informed decisions through data analysis and perform automated quality controls. PolygonSoftware is characterized by "Smart Software Development". This means that we create smart solutions - guaranteed by smart processes. PolygonSoftware supports you in identifying lucrative areas of application for software solutions.
Our website coinpaper.io provides a real-time overview of the crypto market. This enables investors to make their decisions based on data and forecasts.
Through the analysis and presentation of data, real-time dashboards can be created which provide important preliminary work for your decision making.
In our reference project, partially standardized labels got interpreted automatically. The work was automated and only 10% are referred for manual interpretation.
We help you to replace manual interfaces with seamless processes. This will massively reduce the susceptibility to errors and the time required for this work.
In our project, faulty productions of a machine were detected by means of an image analysis. Thanks to our solution, a piece is checked within 0.08 seconds with a confidence of 99.9%.
In addition to the data evaluation, the decision is also automated. Machine Learning is used to distinguish faulty objects from correct ones. Visual quality controls are enabled.
We have simplified the process of software development for you, so that you always stay up to date even without technical knowledge. Through our Weekly Report you are always informed about the state of development and potential points of friction.
In the first, joint, non-binding conversation, the focus is on you. We listen to you, get to know your organization and needs. Together we identify areas of application.
We design a solution which will be presented to you. In this process the technology selection and the creation of the software requirements takes place.
We develop your software and inform you weekly about the state of affairs. You always have the possibility to discuss further development with us.
Our company value is derived from our talented software developers, our vision and our values. PolygonSoftware is not only a recognized IT company, but also a place full of talented experts who support major brands, companies, medium-sized businesses and also start-ups with innovative solutions. For PolygonSoftware, the definition of success is to turn innovative ideas into reality with the help of our technical expertise - for this we want to be remembered as a team!
Joel studies 'Data Science' for his Master's degree. For his bachelor thesis he worked on the open-source render engine appleseed and implemented a physically based sky model in C++.
During his studies, Marius is increasingly interested in Bayesian Optimization and Face Recognition. He is also a former Swiss champion in paperwings folding.
Franck studied business informatics and analyzed various block chain consortia in his thesis. Besides, he is involved in many sports, the main disciplines being golf, badminton and snowboarding.
Daniel studied Business Informatics and founded the tutoring company Lotus Academy in 2016, which employs over 30 tutors.
David is about to finish his Master in Computer Science at the University of Zurich. He is passionate about building, programming and flying drones and airplanes, as a leisure activity and for the Cantonal Police of Zurich.
Thomas has been working as a software developer since 2019 and is studying Software Systems in the Master's program at the UZH. For his bachelor thesis he developed a range-merge join for the open source DBMS PostgreSQL.
Elexa studies Software-Systems in her Bachelor's degree at the University of Zurich and a scout leader of Pfadi Schirmerturm. She loves outdoor sports, especially horseback riding and hiking.
Filip studies software systems at the UZH. Outside of Polygon he tries his hand at various development technologies such as the Unreal Engine. But often WebStorm is opened at the end and web pages are tinkered with.
Janik manages the IT infrastructure of Polygon. Together with Joel he has already released several small games with the Unity3D game engine. The biggest success so far, the horror game M.A.Z.E. was played by the biggest YouTubers in the world!
Marino studies software systems in his bachelor's degree and co-implemented the game JustOne as a web game with Java and React. He likes varying programming projects and in his spare time he likes to swim and cook.
Ramize studies computer science with a minor in biomedicine at the UZH. She is in the last year of her bachelor's degree and is doing her bachelor's thesis on face recognition. Together with Michèle she developed the online game Santorini.
Michèle is studying software systems in her bachelor's degree. She is currently working on her bachelor thesis in the field of machine learning about person re-identification in unconstrained videos. Together with Ramize she developed the online game Santorini.
Claudio has developed a game with C# and monogames as his high school diploma thesis and spends his free time on HackTheBox to solve tricky hacker tasks. He is involved with the voluntary fire department.
Central and close to downtown Zurich! Our office is a few minutes by foot away from the University of Zurich UZH (Oerlikon Campus), in which the Institut of Informatics (IFI) is located.
Show on mapGreat customer satisfaction, our promise. We are proud to contribute to our customers' success.
“As managing director of MMS Consulting GmbH, I commissioned PolygonSoftware to completely design the web presence of our company. Right from the start, the cooperation was very customer and goal-oriented and the joint approach was extremely efficient. We are more than satisfied with the final result. The employees of PolygonSoftware convince with innovative ideas and technical competence. That is why I can recommend PolygonSoftware without reservation.”
“During the development of the new website, Polygon implemented a great solution using the latest technologies. With this website, developed with the focus on 'mobile first', a new dimension of customer loyalty is possible. We can now record most of the data in our CRM. This data is automatically published on the website during the time we have stored it. The flexible structure of the website makes it possible to integrate new requirements within a short time.”
“We were enthusiastic about the homepage proposal right from the start. Professional and exactly adapted to our business philosophy. The wish for own editing possibilities and the choice of software was great. Also the help with Google, Facebook and other internet possibilities was brilliant. As a non-IT person, how am I supposed to know all this?”
PolygonSoftware is proud to be a recognized StartUp of the University of Zurich and one of the newest members of the UZH Innovation Hub! We thank the largest university in Switzerland for their trust in us and for the phenomenal education at the Department of Informatics!
